The teacher is teaching the eco-agriculture technique in the farm.

Project developments:

In November 1998, the foundation Chairman visited the school, and the Shanzhizi (a type of herb) project proposal was approved as a solution for sustainable tuition aid source.
In January 1999, the school started to clean up the field and applied fertilizers. Shanzhizi (a type of Chinese herb) was planted.
The Phelex Foundation contributed full tuition assistance to needy students at the beginning of the project. (see the chart below)
Hong Kong journalist, a Lianping county native donated RMB120,000 to the school for school building renovations.
In Feb. 2000, 16 needy students received tuition-aid of RMB 50.00 of each. In March 2001, 7 students received RMB 450 tuition aid and 4 teachers received RMB 400 teaching award.
In September, Hong Kong Yee Sing Enterprises Co. donated RMB 1,500 worth of clothing.
In 2002, as an effort, the Guangdong municipal government offered RMB 3,000 to each needy family on the condition that they send all their children to school.
In June 2002, the project gained RMB 1,350 proceeds, which was used for children's lunch program.
